Kristina Markova is a wine professional and communicator with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Her career began quite naturally at the age of 18, when she took her first job as a waitress. She worked her way up through every level of the profession before going on to establish and manage several of Sofia’s most iconic bars.

She has an insider’s understanding of front-of-house operations – from building rapport with guests and navigating the pace of a busy service to recognizing the value of a well-timed recommendation. She knows how to sell wine: choosing the right words, finding the right moment and understanding what each guest is looking for.
